Calli is a typical Dan baby, confident, bold, friendly and curious. She keeps her mom moving as she loves to run around and play. She has already found a new home and will be moving to Michigan after weaning. Congrats to Sean and Aimee O’Bryan to this exquisite filly. We hope she’s be everything you are hoping for!
He made an appearance on March 6th at 10pm! Emma gave birth to a dun colt, her first foal. All went well although he took his time to stand and nurse, but once he figured it out, there was no stopping him! Welcome to the world Acadiana’s Dunkerk!
Our black mare Cappi had a beautiful solid black filly shortly after midnight on 2/27. Delivery went smoothly and baby got up and nurses well. It’s the first of 3 Steely Dan babies we are expecting this year and she looks grand. Nice thick neck and a strong topline. Well defined, strong joints. We are considering naming he Callisto. Welcome to the world Calli!
Acadiana’s Osiris has left us to go to his new home in Iowa. His new mom Samanna met us halfway to pick him up. The seem to click beautifully. Many great times and trails together to Sam and Osi!
Our gorgeous silver bay filly Ria has found a new home! She will be joining her 2 sisters Enigma and Nefertari in Alabama next year. Congrats to Mischelle Park on yet another exquisite Acadiana Stables filly! You have quite a collection!
Osi and Valdi spend majority of their days playing around their paddock and it shows! They are nicely muscled up, relaxed and happy growing like horses, outside, with plenty of room to run, green grass and a bit of yummy McCauleys feed.
Seamus and Ariadne are growing like weeds and getting more handsome/beautiful by the day.
Oddie (Acadiana’s Odin) has found a new home with Katie Emmons Lavigna in California! He will continue living a life in a large pasture with equine buddies, just the way he was raised. Odin will stay at our farm until next year, he’ll be put under saddle and hopefully head on west around July 2018. Good luck and lots of happiness to you guys!
Seamus and Ria are growing like weeds and finally playing together on their large 20 acre pasture. Running up and down the hills is doing wonders for their physical development.
Garbo finally decided to foal, 2 weeks past her due date and she gave us a gorgeous, huge red chocolate roan filly. Ariadne was born on April the 8th at 9pm. She is by a blue roan stallion Quicksilver, full brother Sonny’s Silver Dollar.. She might be a keeper! Welcome sweet pea!
